Field Service Representative

On behalf of our client, a leader in waste water treatment, we are looking for a Field Service Representative (FSR) who will be responsible for providing our on-site technical customer service. This customer facing position will include chemistry test, chemical feed and control equipment maintenance including mechanical and electrical equipment repair, chemical inventory management, technical recommendations, and written service reports.

 

Duties Include:

• Install and service chemical feed and water treatment and chemical feed equipment at designated locations

• Perform water analysis and/or collect samples for preparation, labeling and shipment to designated laboratory for analysis

• Work with PLC controls, understands water process treatment design, and repairs pumps, instruments and control panels

• Conduct preventative maintenance and calibrates feed pumps, controllers, feed rate charts and maintain log sheets

• Maintain inventory of spare parts (lube oil, tubing, and piping), and adequate supply of reagents, sample containers, and shipment containers necessary for routine as well as special sampling and analysis

• Travel and work overtime, as required

• Follow all site specific safety requirements, procedures, regulations, restrictions, etc.

• This position requires enrollment in the DISA background check and random drug screening program.

·       Requirements:

-High School Diploma / GED / Home School Certification OR international equivalent and 2+ years’ experience of service/maintenance or equivalent in an industrial environment

-Working experience in Water Treatment / lab testing is strongly recommended

-Ability to travel extensively

-Valid Driver’s License

-TWIC card will be required.  

-Ability and willingness work based on customer needs (shift work, extended shifts etc)

-Demonstrated ability to work independently and remotely with project teams

-Strong oral and written communication skills

-This position requires enrollment in the DISA background check and random drug screening program.

    

Asset:

-Refinery/Chemical Plant Work Experience

-Mechanical aptitude required. Experience with chemical pumps

-Small pump maintenance and Electrical/instrumentation experience 

Electrical Engineer

We are looking for an Electrical Engineer on behalf of our client, a leader in waste/water treatment and chemicals. Reporting to the Lead Engineer, they will complete design documents in concert with Process, Mechanical and Instrumentation and Controls engineers, as well as various project support functions (Document Control, Sourcing, Finance, etc).

 

Duties Include:

  • Generating, checking or approving Process & Instrument Diagrams, single line diagrams, I/O lists, loop (termination) diagrams, control logic diagrams, power distribution designs, control system architecture (PLC/DCS) and general design specifications.
  • Control panel design; including, but not limited to, panel layout, termination drawings, and compiling a bill of materials
  • Support vendor selection and equipment procurement, managing vendor documents and ensuring our suppliers are on track and performing.
  • Build and maintain knowledge of local and national electrical codes and requirements.
  • Maintain project schedule and document reporting for the Lead Engineer.
  • Act as a technical customer contact, participating in project status updates, design reviews, installation support and commissioning supervision.
  • The role requires the ability to travel domestically and internationally 10-25% of the time 

 

Skills Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in an accredited Engineering field – Electrical or Controls preferred       
  • Two to five years’ electrical engineering experience 
  • Strong engineering foundation and is skilled at working across teams, communicating complex ideas and integrating systems
  • Experience with low and medium voltage power distribution system design
  • Clear, concise communication skills and a Strict attention to detail
  • Experience in industrial processes and system engineering
  • Experience with SAP
  • Experience with hazardous location classification/technologies 

Strong Assests

  • Professional Engineer’s License, or the ability to obtain one within 1 year, preferred but not required. 
  • Experience in water treatment, oil & gas, chemical or power fields
  • Experience with Motor Control Center (MCC) design 
  • French, Spanish or Chinese language skills may be useful
